卡洛斯·绍拉， 西班牙导演，并兼编剧、演员、制片、摄影等。生于1932年1月4日。以六七十年代影响最大，作品带有政治意识，对复兴西班牙电影起到很大作用。跟他导师布努艾尔一样，喜欢把现实和怪异 的超现实融合在一起。最重要的作品出现于弗朗哥专制政权的后期。1975年独裁者死后，他的作品反而渐渐失去内力。早年从事摄影工作，擅长拍摄歌舞表演，曾举办过抽象照片展。1957年毕业于西班牙电影研究实验学院。作品经常受到政府的剪刀摧残，但因为在国际影展上为国家争得荣誉，拍片自由从未受到限制，甚至连明显抨击当权者的作品偶尔也能得到批准。晚年致力于弘扬西班牙的国宝级舞蹈。
