　　我们的反常规干探艾索（艾迪•墨菲 Eddie Murphy 饰）又回来了！艾索身为底特律的刑警，却三番四次跑到了洛山矶去破案，这次也不例外。艾索被派遣调查一宗谋杀案，他发现了案中的一连串线索，顺藤摸瓜之下最终追踪到了洛山矶比佛利山上一个大型游乐场的主人。 回到久违的洛山矶，艾索当然要找到前两集的最佳拍档――洛山矶刑警比利（祖德•莱茵霍尔德 Judge Reinhold 饰）。于是比利和艾索两人深入虎穴，直接来到了游乐场调查。没想到的是，游乐场主人在这里设置了重重障碍，面对他们的将是连场恶斗！

天网追击

　　原美国中央情报局分析员杰克·瑞安和妻子、女儿在伦敦度假。一天他目睹了恐怖分子袭击北爱尔兰国务大臣霍姆斯勋爵。瑞安上前相助，击毙一名袭击者，另一名恐怖分子肖·米勒被警察逮捕。瑞安因此受到奖赏并被封爵。后来他回到美国，继续在一所海军大学任教。米勒被转送到怀特岛的监狱后被同伙营救。匪首奥唐奈又计划于霍姆斯访问美国时再袭击他。越狱的米勒愿意当奥唐奈的助手。一次下课之后，瑞安发现有人跟踪他。他发现米勒已逍遥法外并威胁到他全家的生命安全。不久，米勒在一条拥挤的快车道袭击瑞安的妻子和女儿。当瑞安知道了这一切之后，决心重返中央情报局，粉碎米勒一伙人的阴谋。

　　艾索（艾迪•墨菲 Eddie Murphy 饰）是底特律黑白两道的大名人，身为警探，却也不时干些偷鸡摸狗的勾当，而且他侦办案件时经常不按程序办事，上司对他十分头痛。这天，艾索因为敲诈烟贩而差点被开除出去，幸亏好运气才免遭于难。 　　艾索偶遇了一位刚出狱的好友，这人带着巨额的德国债券来到了底特律。两人重逢后不久，艾索的这位朋友就被谋杀了。深谙此事不简单，艾索开始了调查。他独自一人追踪嫌疑人维克多来到了好莱坞的比佛利山，正当他准备上前盘问时，却被当地警察带回了警局。当艾索调查得悉维多克的确在贩毒时，当地的警长同意介入调查，却将艾索打发回老家。艾索只好劝说当地的一名警员比利（祖德•莱茵霍尔德 Judge Reinhold 饰）和他合作，两人开始了私自调查。
